SECURITY ALERT NOTICE - Leap Second

 

Linux kernel versions from 2.6.26 to 3.3 (inclusive) are vulnerable to a deadlock condition in the handling of leap second adjustments provided provided through NTP. The next leap second adjustment is going to occur on June 30th, 2015, and there is potential for this to cause Linux-based Extreme Networks products to crash/hang.

Печально , интересно насколько вендоры к этому готовы.

Juniper вроде готов ,

Juniper routers supports "leap second" adjustment.

If the NTP server is aware of the leap second calculations, then JUNOS router will also add the 1 sec delay by default. Nothing specific needs to be done on the routers to enable this.

в 2012 году такое было, решалось костылём:

 

/etc/init.d/ntp stop; date -s "`date`" ; /etc/init.d/ntp restart

 

Заметные глюки были у MySQL и софта на Java.
