em в FreeBSD или как поиметь Судьбу?

Имеется маршрутизатор с FreeBSD 8.

 

Стоят две 4-ех портовые платы, всего задействовано 6 сетевых (5 сегментов и аплинк).

Присутствует подозрительно большая загрузкка по system

ИМХО что-то явно не так.

Что говорят команды "top -aSHP"?

А также "sysctl hw.em" и "kldstat"?

Используется ли файрволл/nat/шейпер? Если да, то что у них в правилах?

Какие системные переменные установлены в /boot/loader.conf, /etc/sysctl.conf и /etc/rc.local?

Ядро GENERIC? Если нет, то какие параметры менялись?

к чему конкретно делать cpuset

занималлся хардкорным БДСМ с сервером,

есть vlan61 - через nat средстваими ipfw (либо ipnat) и vlan63 мистичковый IX (lj 200-300 мбит/с) без ната

выяснено, что

1)транк/аксесс с алиасасм нагрузку не изменяют

2)смена сетевой (82571 82566 82541) нагрузку не изменяет

3)ipfw add 1 pass ip from any to any нагрузку не изменяет

загрузка em5 по taskq тупо пропорциональна числу пакетов

естественно пробовал обмануть судьбу посредством бдсм с sysctl, fastgforwarding=1 не меняет загрузку совсем (есть подозрение, что при этом не корректно работает думминнет - тупо дропит), задержки в dev.em снижают числу прерываний, но злополучный taskq не меняется, судьба сверху...

выходит, что нат соточки и роутинг 400-500 м для роутера потолок?

 

еще вопрос

верно ли, что для второго роутера лучше взять больше гигагерц, чем ядер?

отсекает инет. поэтому загрузка снижается с 40% где-то до 20%..

правила корректны, прохода через много правил подряд нет

hint - при включенном в ядро DEVICE_POLLING все ваши таймауты в dev.em не работают
количество прерываний снижается раз в 5 при установке сисцтлем

на сетевых то пуллинг выключен

попробую пересобрать ядро, ок

при переводе сегментов на оптику я так понимаю надо ставить еще маршрутизаторы такого типа?

айпив6 и айпифильтер нетраф и т.п. выкинуть из ядра. ок

а как собственно переделать на таблицы?

что там конкретно предлагают. кроме пережевывния все тех же соплей с директ.иср? всё это пробовал - не помогает

зацепки типа

поставить систему абсолютно с нуля

настроить hw.em.дескрипторы и тайминги dev.em.*., больше ничего не тюнить.

nat перенести на другую машину, ибо с натом отдельный разговор.

количество правил ipfw сократить до 4-15-40,

не пытаться шейпить входящий (в сторону этой машины) трафик - только исходящий (out recv <BORDER_IF> xmit <CLIENTS_IF>)

ну а как же ее еще можно поставить? обновить с 4,0?

там тайминги же есть в сисцтл, число прерываний уменьшается - загрузка нет
