странный глюк pptpd/pppd в linux

собственно, глюк такой: отваливаются все соединения, и после, по истечении минут 30 никого не пускает (ошибка 800 при подключении к VPN)

потом все восстанавливается, но факт в том, что демон pppd при этом не падает.

 

происходит примерно так:

 

Apr 15 17:18:28 mega pppd[12712]: fork failed: Cannot allocate memory

Apr 15 17:18:28 mega pppd[12712]: Failed to create child process for /etc/ppp/auth-down: Cannot allocate memory

Apr 15 17:24:10 mega pppd[12712]: Connect time 42.5 minutes.

Apr 15 17:24:10 mega pppd[12712]: Sent 2835669 bytes, received 435258 bytes.

Apr 15 17:24:11 mega pppd[12712]: Modem hangup

Apr 15 17:24:11 mega pppd[12712]: Connection terminated.

Apr 15 17:24:11 mega pppd[12712]: Exit.

 

Apr 15 17:19:39 mega pptpd[31675]: CTRL: Session timed out, ending call

Apr 15 17:19:39 mega pptpd[31675]: CTRL: Reaping child PPP[31676]

Apr 15 17:24:13 mega pptpd[31675]: CTRL: Client 192.168.175.106 control connection finished

 

дальше следует серия аналогичных дисконнектов, и все, больше никаких ошибок, сервер работает как ни в чем не бывало, но не подключает VPN.
