Upgrade Instructions

The following instructions are for Internet Explorer version 6.x. Customers using other browsers may see slightly

different options and terminology used. We strongly recommend that you use Internet Explorer for this procedure.

The licenses and upgrades are available from the license-it website at:

https://www.license-it.com/index.html

1. Log in with the user ID of 'guest' and the password of 'guest'.

2. Select the 'Download IP2K type Firmware Upgrade by MAC address' link.

3. Copy and paste the MAC addresses displayed on the Information screen of the product's web interface.

Note: Please be sure you actually have Version 1.00-xxxxxx of the TurboCell firmware and not standard 802.11b.

4. Enter in the MAC addresses with no separators within the MAC address themselves. Use a comma (,) as the

separator between MAC addresses, as in the example shown below.

0020F60500D7,0020F60500D2

Note: You can specify ranges of MAC addresses, but we recommend that you avoid this method because it can

cause problems when trying to obtain your upgrade licenses.

6. Select 'KNUB-3100-01-1-10-01-022418' for the KN-50 Simple TC Bridge with a Hermes I radio. Select the

'KNUB-3100-02-1-10-01-022418' for the Hermes II radio to upgrade to version 1.10-01. If you are unsure of what

version you have please refer to the Information screen of the product’s web interface.

CAUTION: DO NOT attempt to perform this upgrade unless you have confirmed your radio chipset.

7. Click the Search button. A dialog box will appear showing how many licenses have been found.

8. Click OK

9. Click the Download Key button. A File Download dialog box will appear asking you to save the file.

10. Click the save button. At this point, navigate to the location where you wish to save the zip file containing your

licenses, and click the Save button.

11. Click Logoff at the menu bar at the top of the window.

12. Use the following TFTP procedure to load the software to the unit.

Note: If for some reason no results are returned for the MAC addresses you have entered, please double check the

MAC addresses and correct as needed and search again, or contact the Distributor or OEM from which the units

were purchased.
