реализовать нормальную передачи по металлу таких скоростей - целая проблема,

потому и оборудование стоит столько. Лучше (дешевле) даже на 5 метров делать на оптике.

Проще свитч купить с такими десятками. Где-то тут мелькала моделька длинковская, там не особо дорого было, относительно стоимости этих конверторов и модулей.
